Our Philosophy

Healing Healthcare is our commitment to provide behavioral standards and an environment to meet our mission, value and vision. Patients score our staff particularly high on Healing Healthcare attributes: the warmth and caring shown to patients and their families, our sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of patients and their families, and our inclusion of patients and families in care decisions. Our Healing Healthcare philosophy was adopted in 1994 and continues today through ongoing staff education and performance evaluations.

About Sutter Health

Sutter Health is one of the nation's leading not-for-profit networks of community-based healthcare providers, delivering high-quality care in more than 100 Northern California communities. It is also the regional leader in infant deliveries, neonatology, orthopedics, pediatrics and cancer care services. Sutter Health supports more than two dozen locally run acute care hospitals as well as physician organizations; medical research facilities; region wide home health, hospice and occupational health networks; and long-term care centers.
Sutter Health affiliates share a fundamental belief that local communities are in the best position to identify and meet local healthcare needs. Within Sutter Health, local or regional boards of directors, whose volunteer members represent the communities served, govern all of our hospitals and physician organizations. By being part of Sutter Health, affiliates make their own decisions on what their communities need and, at the same time, enjoy the benefits of a network that provides support, a financial safety net and extensive medical expertise.
