Orthopedic Equipment Enhancements
Thanks to you, we did it!
Thanks to your generosity, NCH Development Office raised $105,035, plus a Sutter Health matching grant of $100,000, equalling the funds needed for Orthopedic Equipment Enhancements for scopes, monitors, and instrumentations selected as our 2011 fundraising goal. These equipment upgrades will help the hospital maintain and grow its highly acclaimed joint replacement program. Thank you!
Project Description
Novato Community Hospital’s most prominent area of patient services is orthopedics. NCH is well known for its multidisciplinary total joint replacement program, which includes total hips, knees, and shoulders. Given the aging population (Marin County has the oldest population, per capita in California), orthopedic services are in high demand. NCH performs as many hip and knee replacements in a year as hospitals three times its size.
Orthopedic enhancements for scopes, high definition monitors, and orthopedic instrumentations were selected as this year's fundraising goal, to help the hospital maintain and grow its highly acclaimed joint replacement program.
In 2010, NCH made a significant investment from its equipment fund to replace routine orthopedic equipment, providing the clinical basis for this expansion and upgrade. The NCH leadership, Development Committee, and NCH’s orthopedic physicians unanimously supported this project as a fundraising priority for 2011.
