Smart Infusion Pumps
A Sutter Health Matching Grant Challenge
Funding need: $240,000
Smart Pumps are a recent technology for infusing medications. The pumps and their computer software simultaneously monitor medications and patients’ responses to accurately and safely administer life-saving drugs. Your contribution will help equip the hospital with 40 smart pumps and the software necessary to run the pumps. Community Healthcare Fund
Novato Community Hospital's Community Healthcare Fund supports the following community services:
Chaplaincy Program
Funding need - $16,000
An interfaith, non-sectarian service that is available to all patients, families, and friends at NCH. Chaplains perform many duties as part of the overall health care team. Its purpose is to assist patients and others through difficult or stressful times.
Community Diabetes Project
Funding need - $22,000
A collaborative with the Novato Unified School District which bring together health and education resources for the prevention and early intervention of type 2 diabetes in high-risk youth. The project operates on a model of youth leadership with added academic support and health professional guidance.
Health Express
Funding need - $28,800
In cooperation with Whistlestop Wheels, the program offers free round-trip rides within Novato city limits to medical appointments for adults age 60 plus and the disabled of any age.
Institute for Health & Healing
Funding need - $16,000
A service that promotes healing and healthier ways of living by providing therapeutic massage, expressive arts and guided imagery to help hospital and cancer patients with a healing experience while undergoing medical treatment. These therapies are free to patients and promote a quicker recovery and reduce pain and stress. Health and Healing classes, workshops and support groups are also available to the community.
Novato Health Partnership Program
Funding need - $12,000
Improves the overall student community health environment by providing acute and episodic medical care to uninsured children enrolled in the Novato Unified School District.

Nursing Program and Services Fund
The fund serves as a funding source for programs and projects to benefit nursing education and development at NCH.

Employee Emergency Assistance Fund
The fund provides grants to assists NCH employees who have experienced a recent emergency and are in need of short-term financial assistance. Click here to read about our employee giving campaign

You may restrict your gift to any of the hospital's programs or projects listed or you may wish to make an unrestricted contribution that will allow the hospital to direct the funds to the area of greatest need.
