Diabetes Type 2: Self Management Basic Skills

Diabetes Self Management Skills is a four-week class for patients with Type 2 diabetes who want to learn basic skills to manage blood glucose today and protect their health for years to come. Basic skills include: healthy meal planning, carbohydrate counting, physical activity guidelines, blood glucose self monitoring, handling sick days, travel, understanding medications and strategies for health maintenance.

Registration fee: $40 for all 4 classes, including materials. Tuition support is available.

Tuesdays 2-4pm
1st four Tuedays of each month.
May 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd
June 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
August 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th.

Diabetes Type 2: Medical Nutrition Therapy Consultations

Individual consultations with our Registered Dietitian, a Certified Diabetes Educator, to design a personal meal plan for improved blood glucose control and to reduce risk of diabetes complications. Individual preferences, as well as medications, weight targets and physical activity level are factored into the diet design.
