NCH Golf Tourney Raises $35,000 For Hospital/Community Programs

The 18th Annual Novato Community Hospital/Greenpoint Mortgage Golf Tournament raised some $35,000 to benefit several hospital and community programs.
NCH Chief Administrative Officer Anne Hosfeld, RN, said, “On behalf of Novato Community Hospital, I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this year’s event a success. These funds benefit our patients in many ways through out the year.”
The proceeds from the July 20 event at the Indian Valley Golf Course will help support programs such as the Institute for Health & Healing which integrates complementary practices into patient care; Health Express, which transports older adults and the disabled to medical appointments; Novato Health Partnership, which provides medical treatment to Novato school children; and the hospital’s Chaplaincy Program, a non-sectarian spiritual and emotional support service for patients, their families and friends.
Lori Gremel, senior development director of the Marin Community Healthcare Foundation, the fundraising arm of NCH and Marin General Hospital, said, “We are delighted with these results because the annual golf tournament is a major contributor to the Novato Community Healthcare fund.”
