Rounds are held Mondays at 12:30 p.m. in the Wilkes Weseman Conference Rooms. Lunch is provided to NCH Medical Staff Members.
Non-NCH Medical Staff Member physicians: A $10.00 fee will be charged for each CME credit earned and lunch.

Topic: Evaluation of Back Pain in the Outpatient Setting
Dr. Dean Chou, neurosurgeon, specializes in complex spine surgery. He treats spinal deformaties (scoliosis, kyphosis, kyphscoliosis, flatback syndrome), spinal tumors, and degenerative conditions of the spine, including spondylolisthesis, and stenosis. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, which he applies to the treatment of complex spinal disorders.
As an expert in the treatment of spinal tumors, Dr. Chou is a charter member of the Spinal Oncology Study Group, an international consortium of experts in the field of spinal tumors. His publications have been featured as the cover article of the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine, several times, and he is an Advisory Board member for the journal Spine, one of the most prestigious journals in spine surgery. He also serves as faculty and lecturer, teaching at numerous spine courses, both nationally and internationally. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and has been elected by his peers for six consecutive years as one of the Best Doctors in America.
California Pacific Medical Center is a CMA-accredited provider of continuing medical education. Physicians attending this course may report one hour per session of Category I credit toward the California Medical Association Certificate in Continuing Medical Education and the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award. This course has been reviewed and is accepted by the American Academy of Family Physicians for 1 hour of prescribed credit. Prescribed credit is equivalent to American Medical Association Category 1 credit for purposes of the AMA Physicians Recognition Award. These programs are intended for a general medical audience.
